Hello world!
Since I first developed this website, my purpose and vision has grown along with its amount of users. I am currently in a redevelopment phase, hoping to improve it so that all IBDP geography students and teachers can benefit from the materials that I am creating and will be sharing over time. Eventually the blog-style content will be removed and replaced with pages that will be much more helpful, thorough, and interactive for all users. But for now I will keep all the materials up on the site.
Watch this space!

About Me
My name is Paul Alberts and I am a high school Geography teacher. Currently I am an IBDP Geography teacher as well as the Curriculum Leader for Humanities and Learning Technology at Rotterdam International Secondary School.
I grew up in Barrie, Ontario, Canada and now reside in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Along the way I have lived in Sioux Center, Iowa; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Seattle, Washington; and Zwolle, the Netherlands. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education with a minor in Geography from Calvin University, and an MA in Geography Education from the University College London.
Teaching geography to high school students invigorates me. My students consistently challenge, impress, and surprise me with their stories, knowledge, and curiosity. Being a geography teacher in an international classroom setting affords me the opportunity to learn about the world through my students’ various backgrounds. I learn, laugh, and am enlightened through them every day!
